3D Printing at a Price You Can Afford!
As you go through the reviews I have for you on my website, you will notice that 3D printing is something that was pretty new to me and when I first came across it, I thought I would never be able to afford one of my own. After all, this is high-end technology! But, as my research has taught me manufacturers are already finding ways to bring these printers to the market at a more affordable price.
The XYZprinting Da Vinci 1.0 3D printer is one model I’ve found that I think really deserves a mention here and not just because of price. In my opinion this printer is perfect for use in the home if you want to get a bit creative, very useful for small businesses and will even work well for those of you who would like to use it in an education environment.
My Favorite Features
The first thing that struck me about this 3D printer is there is no assembly required when you receive it. In fact, I could go as far as to say it’s a true “plug ‘n play” model. There are no parts to put together and as long as you make sure you follow the instructions in the manual provided, a novice can get this printer up and running in no time!
My other favorite feature is the way the manufacturer has designed this machine so it’s completely enclosed. This makes it much safer to use because anyone who knows about 3D printing will be aware of the heat that can be produced when you’re creating parts for a model you’re building or even that new toy for the kids. This design also means there is no external filament movement when you’re using it which helps avoid little accidents that can happen.
For the price, I was surprised at how large an item you can make because this printer will produce sizes up to 7.8 inches in width, depth and length. It also uses ABS plastic which is available in no less than 12 different colors which is great if you want a printer like this for more creative projects.
If you are a novice to 3D printing, you will really like this feature well, I do anyway! The manufacturer has included auto calibration and something called EZ mode software so it’s really easy to get started on your latest project. You can also make use of an open source 3D cloud library which allows you to choose from thousands of different designs. You can even upload your own designs and share them with others!
For those of you who really know what you’re doing when it comes to 3D printing, this model might be a little “beneath” you in terms of design capabilities and the software available. However, for the price which can be found at Amazon I think this printer is one of the most affordable on the market, and one of the easiest to use.
Just make sure that you have the correct operating system on your PC before you hit that all important purchase button because you will need Windows XP, Windows 7 or above and if you have a Mac, it needs to be OSx.
